Cat & Dog Acupuncturist in Oxford, MS

Acupuncture is a form of Eastern medicine that can be used as a complement to Western medicine. At Bottletree Animal Hospital, we are proud to have a cat and dog acupuncturist on staff to help our patients feel their best and begin the healing process. We understand that sometimes this technique makes some people feel skeptical—we were in the same boat at first!—but we have been astounded by the results we’ve seen in so many patients that we have to share them with you. Call us today at (662) 234-4336.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the art of placing needles into certain points on the body in order to cause the release of endorphins or the release of pressure on certain other points. Many people mistakenly believe that acupuncture is only meant to reduce pain, and while that is a great use of this modality, it can also do so much more! Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of health conditions including:

  • Allergies
  • Anxiety
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Back pain
  • Cancer
  • Chronic ear infections
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Itchiness
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Seizures
  • Vomiting
  • …and more!

We treat our patients primarily with traditional medicine, adding acupuncture as a unique veterinary tool that many general practitioners do not have available at their practices. We often have patients referred to us from other veterinarians in order to take advantage of our cat and dog acupuncturist.

Acupuncture has been shown to significantly improve the patient’s quality of life. In our many years of offering this service, we have seen very few pets fail to experience some improvement in their health and well-being as a result of acupuncture. This is one of the reasons we believe in it so much!
