"I began my career in the zoo field by acquiring my AS in Zoo Animal Technology. While in the program, I got some limited experience with the veterinary side and gained an interest in that direction. Shortly after graduation, I decided to pursue a job in the veterinary field, and happily accepted a position at Bottletree Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant/bather. I quickly fell in love with my job as I developed bonds with the animals as well as my coworkers. Eventually, I was offered the opportunity to move to a veterinary assistant position, which is also when I started my AS in Veterinary Technology. Throughout this time, I developed close relationships with my amazing co-workers who have also become my main support system and have gotten to meet the fabulous owners of the patients that I love so much. My absolute favorite part of every day is to see how excited our patients are to come into the clinic to see us. Overall, I have experienced and learned so much over the last few years at Bottletree and accepting that job offer was the best decision I have ever made."
