Community Outreach in Oxford, MS

Bottletree Animal Hospital loves being a part of Oxford community outreach and we enjoy doing what we can to support the people and animals of our area. We have participated in a number of local charities and events, some of which include:

  • Support of the Oxford Police Department to help them purchase new equipment

  • Provide veterinary care and heartworm, flea, and tick prevention for the Oxford Police Department service dogs

  • Annual support for the Oxford Fire Department

  • Support of Oxford and Lafayette County School Career Fairs and career selection tools for local middle and high school students

  • Visit pre-school and elementary schools to teach them how to care for their own pets and to teach them bite prevention techniques

  • Support of Lafayette High School Athletics (soccer, cross country, track, and swim team)

  • Support the Lafayette High School Band

  • Assist with research projects performed at the University of Mississippi Biology Department

  • Participation in the annual Christmas Parade in Oxford

  • Host of spay/neuter events for 9 Lives Cat Rescue throughout the year (We have neutered well over 2000 pets!)

  • Our team has volunteered their time and expertise with low cost spay/neuter efforts in our local community.

  • Annual celebration of American Animal Hospital Association awareness

  • Support and encourage donations for the Veterinary Care Foundation which allows us to provide veterinary care for local pets in need

  • Memorialize pets with a contribution to the Veterinary Care Foundation

  • All of our employees have a personal interest in rescue, foster, and adoption of homeless pets
